Tasting- Familia Pacheco Jumilla

Name: Familia Pacheco Jumilla
Variety: Monastrell/Syrah blend
Region: Jumilla
Country: Spain
Year: 2011
Price: $9

Winery review: This coupage of Monastrell and Syrah is dark red-maroon in color with a full body. Red berry aromas can be appreciated on the nose, with a slight touch of lactose and balsalmic sensations. Familia Pace Pacheco Organic is a balanced, full bodied, fresh wine enhanced by seasoned tannins and the reoccurring traces of ripe fruit.

My review: The nose of this wine had a strange dry sensation to it. The taste of this wine was very lacking. Until the final overwhelming pepper finish, I felt like I was drinking water.

I tried this wine without food.
